Classes & Workshops

RiiVIVE classes and workshops bring somatic awareness into movement, supporting you to build strength, expand capacity and feel more connected to your body.

Some offerings are available as weekly classes, while others take place as short courses or focused workshops throughout the year. Each experience offers a different way to explore the body—not as something to control or perfect, but as a place to listen, learn and become more fully alive.

SOMATIC PILATES

Weekly Tuesdays at Pranama Yoga, Töölö Studio in Helsinki

Somatic Pilates combines strength, mobility and body awareness in a practice that responds to the whole person. Rather than simply performing exercises, you are invited to notice how you move, breathe and organise effort—and to discover possibilities for greater support, ease and connection.

The class draws from Pilates, somatic movement, biomechanics and nervous system awareness. It is suitable for anyone who wants to feel stronger and more at home in their body.

PRENATAL SOMATIC PILATES

A four-week course supporting you through pregnancy with movement, breath and embodied preparation for birth.

The course explores pelvic floor responsiveness, whole-body strength, changing posture, rest and recovery, while helping you build trust in your body and deepen connection with your baby.

PUSH & PREP WORKSHOP

Push & Prep is a practical workshop that combines birth biomechanics, breath, movement and somatic awareness to help you approach labour with greater confidence and understanding. Together we’ll explore how the pelvis, breath, pelvic floor and nervous system work together to create the conditions for your baby to move through birth.

Rather than focusing on techniques to “get through” labour, this workshop helps you build trust in your body’s ability to adapt and respond. You’ll learn practical positions, movement strategies, breathing approaches and partner support that can make birth feel more supported and less overwhelming.

Whether you’re planning a physiological birth, induction or caesarean birth, the principles of support, adaptability and informed movement remain the foundation.

Together we’ll cover:

understanding the biomechanics of birth

breathing during labour

pelvic mobility and birth positions

working with, rather than against, your body’s natural pushing reflexes

partner support

recovery in the early postpartum period

SEASONAL WORKSHOPS

RiiVIVE workshops combine somatic awareness, movement and practical tools to explore a particular area of the body more deeply. Each workshop can be offered as a public event or adapted for workplaces and private groups.

Current workshop themes include:

Neck & Shoulder Melt
Release accumulated tension, restore movement and explore how stress, posture and breathing shape the way the neck and shoulders respond.

Strong Back
Build strength, mobility and support through the spine, pelvis and whole body—moving beyond rigid ideas of posture towards a back that can respond and adapt.

Moving Hips
Explore mobility, strength and freedom through the hips and pelvis. This workshop supports more ease in everyday movement while deepening your connection with this central area of the body.

Pelvic Floor Foundations
An accessible introduction to the pelvic floor as part of a responsive, whole-body system. Explore the relationship between the pelvic floor, breath, movement, pressure and support.

Push & Prep
An embodied birth-preparation workshop exploring movement, breath, pelvic-floor responsiveness and positions for labour and pushing. Designed to help you understand your body’s possibilities and approach birth with greater trust and confidence.

Public workshop dates, including the next Push & Prep, will be announced soon. Please check back or join the mailing list to hear when booking opens.

BRING RiiVIVE TO YOUR WORKPLACE

These workshops can also be adapted for workplace wellbeing days, team development and smaller groups. Sessions offer practical, body-based ways to release tension, interrupt prolonged sitting, understand stress responses and support sustainable wellbeing during the working day.

Workshops can be offered individually or combined into a series based on your workplace’s needs.
