The forest reminds me how much space actually exists. When the inside feel tight, contracted, stuck - nature doesn’t rush to fix it.

It simply offers room.

And then there are days when the strength comes from within, and that shapes how the world meets me.

Inside and outside ~ Always in conversation.

One of the biggest lessons 2025 offered me:
Your nervous system changes when it experiences choice.
When there is a felt sense of choice (not just a positive thought), the body begins to soften.

Even slightly.
And that “slightly” matters.

Because in that moment:
🌿 we can notice something new
🌿 we can respond instead of react
🌿 we can step out of old survival pathways

This is one of the most powerful gifts of Somatic Experiencing ~ the practice of finding the small choices available right here, right now.

I can’t change what was.
And I can choose differently now.

Expression is a doorway back to choice.
Art. Play.
Uninstructed movement.
Creativity without rules.

When there’s no “right way”…
the nervous system starts to feel possibility again.
Like a blank canvas.

And suddenly… colours can blossom.
(🌿 inserting my bouquet here — a small reminder that life still creates beauty when we give it space.)

For this Christmas and holiday season we wish you much love & light ✨ A heartfelt offering of peace & softnes.

For many, this time of year brings stress and hustle. If that rings true, try to notice what slowing down feels like. If this season brings you sorrow and grief, see if you are able to sense what these emotions are craving for ~ maybe connection and longing.

If this season brings you joy, notice if you are able to share it with the next person your eyes meet.

I wonder how the world would feel like if we were able to just BE for a moment.

Merry Christmas and all the softness for the new year ✨

Before you act on the impulse—pause.
That pause might be the most powerful part.

So often, the moment an urge arises, we move.

We answer the message. We solve the problem. We take care of everyone. We push ourselves forward.
But there is deep wisdom in the space before the action.

Every impulse carries information about what your body truly needs. And when we move too fast, we might unknowingly strengthen an old survival pattern instead of building something new.

Next time you feel the urge to jump into action, explore this:
✨ Pause
✨ Notice the impulse
✨ Locate it in your body
✨ What is the sensation like?
✨ Which direction does it want to move?

And gently ask:
What if this impulse didn’t need to complete right now? What would that feel like?

From here, you can begin to feed the impulse slowly—one micromovement at a time.
A subtle shift. A soft reach. A change in breath.

This is how choice is built in the body.
And with choice, confidence begins to grow.

For many of us, this is especially powerful when the impulse is to be the one who fixes, holds it all together, keeps everyone connected, solves every problem, or carries the responsibility for others.

These roles didn’t appear by accident. They carry meaning. They once kept you safe. They became part of who you are.

And when a role, a feeling, or a habit can no longer soften on its own—
it’s not a sign that something is wrong with you.

It’s a sign that your system is ready to renegotiate.

To explore another way.
To let your body lead instead of urgency.

You don’t need to get rid of your impulses.
You just get to meet them first—
and choose from a place of steadiness, not survival. 🤍

Choice is a nervous system experience.

Sometimes life doesn’t offer us a clean choice point.

Things happen fast.
Demands arrive suddenly.
We’re thrown into “I must deal with this now.”

And when the nervous system lives in I MUST DO IT NOW,
everything becomes a threat.

There’s no time to orient.
No space to feel.
No room to choose.

The body goes straight into survival.

This is how threat responses get stuck — not because something is “wrong” with us, but because there wasn’t enough time or safety to let choice land.

But even when life feels overwhelming, there are small places where agency still lives:
Do I open the letter now… or in an hour?
Do I wear this sweater… or that one?
Do I call back now… or tonight?

These moments might seem insignificant —
but to your nervous system, they are everything.

Because agency builds confidence.
And confidence is not a thought.
It’s a felt belief in the body.

Confidence is a muscle.
And every time you choose — even in small ways — you strengthen it.

You don’t need to make massive life decisions to heal.
Sometimes healing begins with:
✨ This now… or that later?

SLOWING DOWN IS A SKILL (and it can feel deeply uncomfortable).

This time of year, many of us feel an inner push to “do more,” “fix more,” or “keep busy.”
Not because we want to…
…but because our survival behaviors are quietly running the show.

🌀 Keeping busy
🌀 Fixing everything around us
🌀 Needing a constant to-do list

These aren’t flaws.
They’re intelligent, unconscious strategies your body once learned to stay safe.
And they deserve to be valued.

But here’s the truth many of us are waking up to:

✨ Burnout is rising
✨ Anxiety—especially among the youth—is sky-rocketing
✨ Relationships are struggling
✨ Many feel stuck, pressured, impatient, or irritable

When our old survival behaviors stop soothing us, the body starts signaling:
“Something needs to shift.”

And this is the phase where slowing down becomes essential.
Not as an escape.
Not as laziness.
But as the completion of an activation cycle your nervous system is trying to move through.

Slowing down isn’t unproductive.
It is physiology.
It is healing.
It is the foundation for any real change.

So instead of layering on New Year’s resolutions…

💭 What OLD behaviour are you ready to thank for its service?
💭 And how might you soothe the need underneath it… differently this time?

Father’s Day ~ Isäinpäivä 💙

To the dads who bring creativity into their kids’ world - thank you.

Creativity is the doorway into healing.
It’s how we let the unknown lead us, meeting it with curiosity instead of fear.

For years, my own creativity felt blocked. Even now, I often need to slow down enough to feel it merge again - to listen for what wants to come through.
It’s a practise. Just like welcoming structure, safety, and love.

Dads bring a tremendous amount of solidness - the kind that becomes a safe soundboard for kids to express themselves, explore, and stumble.
The steady hand that stays - even when they misstep - teaches something deeper than words ever could.

Here’s to the fathers who hold space for creativity, connection, and courage to make missteps. Happy Father’s Day and not just today, but every day for holding space for our little ones 💙

CLOSING NATURAL CYCLES ✨

How does it feel in your body when something ends —
the last sip of coffee,
the final button on your shirt,
the moment you put down your toothbrush?

So often, we move on without sensing completion.
Our bodies keep adding — one unfinished moment after another — until they overflow.

Overwhelm, burnout, shame, and sadness can be signs of cycles left open.

The body holds what was never completed, and when it becomes too much, it goes numb.

But numbness doesn’t mean emptiness.
It’s an invitation to begin again — gently, one small cycle at a time.

A breath that never finished.
A feeling that waited to be seen.

Our emotions stay incomplete until they are met.
Completion is not about doing more —
it’s about allowing what’s here to finish its natural rhythm.

Grounding isn’t a task. It’s a sensation.

If we can’t feel what’s under a task, “grounding” stays an idea.
It becomes another exercise on the to-do list that’s supposed to bring presence… but doesn’t.

We live in a task-oriented, productivity-praising culture—and our bodies show it.
Often left behind. Often numb.

So: how do we learn the practice of felt sense?
🙏🏼 What does gratitude actually feel like in your body?
🍏 Most of us know what to eat, yet struggle to practice it.
💤 Most of us know we should sleep more, yet can’t find sleep.
🎬 Most of us know the “right” thing to do, yet it’s hard to action it.

Through the lens of Somatic Experiencing®—a trauma-resolution model—we learn to sense what’s in the way: the patterns, sensations, and feelings that block access to what we truly want.

It isn’t easy to soften the armour and look honestly at the obstacles.
But the practice matters.

Coming back into the body is how we become present, honest, and real—so we can choose what we actually need.

Want a simple felt-sense practice? Send a DM with “GRATITUDE” and I’ll send it to you 🤍 #somatichealing

The Difference Between Somatic Experiencing and Talk Therapy:

We can’t think our way out of trauma.
We can’t talk our way into safety.

Healing happens when the body begins to feel safe again.
Talk therapy helps us understand our patterns and stories — which is deeply valuable. But sometimes, we stay looping in the same narratives while our body still lives in old defenses: tension, collapse, or constant alertness.

Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-led approach.
Instead of analyzing what happened, we explore how the body experiences it now.

Through embodiment, SE helps you:
🌿 make your body a safe landing space
🌿 regulate activation in everyday life
🌿 meet triggers without being overwhelmed
🌿 make room for difficult feelings without shutting down

It’s not about never getting upset.

It’s about becoming more whole — more capable of staying present through life’s waves.
If you’ve felt that talking hasn’t shifted how your body feels, Somatic Experiencing may be what your system is asking for.

🕊️ I’m welcoming new in-person clients in Punavuori, Helsinki for Somatic Experiencing sessions.
You don’t need to figure it out by yourself - together we will explore and collaborate back into your body.

✨ I refuse to enter MidLife with a “this is it” mindset. ✨

I see it so often in my clients’ eyes—resignation mixed with a quiet spark. That spark is the fire calling us toward support, change, and renewal. 🔥

It is never too late to reconnect, rebirth, and renegotiate our habits. MidLife is not an ending—it’s a doorway. Through these legs, these eyes, and this lived body, we can move in ways we couldn’t before and see through a lens we never had back then.

Yes, the path can feel sticky, difficult, even scary at times. But on the other side lives awe, pleasure, and the embodied capacity to fully live here & now. 🌿

This is the work—learning to recognize our agency, and when we can’t, leaning into support that helps us rediscover it.

💫 Come explore this with me and other women in a supportive Women’s Circle: BREATH & BLOOM 🌸 where body, connection & creativity meet.

Creativity is born inside the body. It can begin with just a feeling and then flows outward through expression.

In BREATH & BLOOM you will learn a practise to connect within your pelvis and let what emerges find its form.

Together, we will create a flower arrangement shaped as the female reproductive system. This living artwork can become a healing, a celebration, a mirror, an honouring, a farewell, or simply an acknowledgement of what arises in you.

Through breath, body and bloom, creativity transforms into art - giving voice to what doesn’t have words #somatichealing #somaticexperiencing

A women’s circle for pelvic floor, breath & empowerment

In BREATH & BLOOM we slow down to truly sense.

💫 This workshop is for anyone ready to:
• Feel a pause and rest in their body
• Slow down into curiosity
• Hold space for themselves and others

Come as you are. Leave with deeper connection, softness, and empowerment.

🌿 Somatic Pelvic Floor Workshop 🌿

Your pelvic floor is more than anatomy.
It’s a living space where breath meets boundary, where YES expands and NO protects.

In this workshop, you’ll explore how to listen to these subtle messages:
✨ Feel how your pelvic floor responds to breath and presence
✨ Learn how YES + NO live in your body as sensations of opening + closing
✨ Discover how this awareness can reduce discomfort, increase strength, and bring ease into daily movement

When we respect and embody the wisdom of the pelvis, we reconnect with our boundaries, our power, and our capacity to move through life with clarity.

This workshop welcomes anyone:

🌿 Somatic Pelvic Floor Workshop 🌿 Your pelvic floor is more than anatomy. It’s a living space where breath meets boundary, where YES expands and NO protects. In this workshop, you’ll explore how to listen to these subtle messages: ✨ Feel how your pelvic floor responds to breath and presence ✨ Learn how YES + NO live in your body as sensations of opening + closing ✨ Discover how this awareness can reduce discomfort, increase strength, and bring ease into daily movement When we respect and embody the wisdom of the pelvis, we reconnect with our boundaries, our power, and our capacity to move through life with clarity. This workshop welcomes anyone: 🌸 preparing for or recovering from birth 🌸 living with pelvic pain 🌸 navigating peri/menopause 🌸 or seeking deeper connection within 📅 Sept 20th 🕐 1:00–2:30 pm 📍 Pranama Kallio

What a masterpiece you are ✨

The greatest gift I ever received was being birthed into motherhood — to pull you out with my own hands and witness you in awe. Your eyes, your hands, and the greatest treasure of all: your heart.

This birthday feels tender for me, because I left home at your age. Now, as I watch you turning 17, my deepest prayer is that I gave you my all. That we have held true to the blueprint of your soul, and that the Light within you continues to shine brightly.

I pray that along with your brilliant mind, you carry a whole heart — one that loves life, cherishes connection, and delights in deep conversation. A heart that wraps me in those beautiful hugs as you pass by. A heart that whispers I love you each morning before leaving the house. A heart of faith. A heart that has learned the grace of softening.

Happy 17th birthday, our son. We love you so ❤️

The body softens, senses open.
To yield into beauty is not to escape what’s hard —
it is to let kindness, touch, and wonder
coexist with it.

Here. Now. Alive.

Sunday Walk Reflections ~
When the body feels unsettled, the rhythm of walking, sound of the birds and the smell of the changing seasons can bring grounding.

Today this pause came through reflections of life’s cycles ~ a small animal cemetery tucked in the forest just around the corner of our home 💚 #somatichealing
